supercollective

Over the spring/summer of 2025, the DMG invited supercollective, an amorphous gathering of Scarborough-based artists, change-makers, and community leaders, to participate in an experimental residency using the gallery as a space to gather, share, plan, and engage with community, all centred around arts and cultural discourse in Scarborough.

Members of supercollective activated the gallery space throughout the summer, ideating and reflecting on the development of the collective, and offering generative, hands-on public workshops that invited community to reflect on ideas of home and belonging.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

The goal of supercollective is to foster meaningful growth in Scarborough’s arts and cultural communities. Members work on their artistic, academic, and policy-making projects either individually or collaboratively, embodying the unique plurality of expressions and experiences of Scarborough.
