the yet opening reception

Join us to celebrate our new exhibition, The Yet, in the Instructional Centre Vitrines! Developed in conjunction with Erika DeFreitas’ exhibition at the Doris McCarthy Gallery, it’s because of the shimmer, the verge, and the yet., The Yet features works by emerging Scarborough artists Destinie Adélakun, Alicia Reid, and Myuri Srikugan, alongside work by DeFreitas. The exhibition is the culmination of mentorship program that took place in the months leading up to the exhibition, in which the artists met periodically with DeFreitas and each other to develop new work.

Light refreshments will be served. This is a relaxed reception, attendees are welcome to come and go as they need. Admission is free and open to the public, all are welcome. The Instructional Centre is wheelchair accessible. If you have other accommodation needs, please contact dmg.utsc@utoronto.ca.
