The Farm and the City and the Radio Jam

Presented by Big Pond Small Fish Laboratory in collaboration with Artscape Gibraltar Point, Black Creek Community Farm, Doris McCarthy Gallery, Edible Campus at the University of Toronto Scarborough & Radio Fwd

The Farm and the City and the Radio is an interactive sound work about what feeds and connects us. Over the summer and fall of 2020 Big Pond Small Fish worked with farmers, artists, Scarborough community radio station Radio Fwd, and the Doris McCarthy Gallery to create eight short sound works, three farm tour videos, and two ASL accessible videos.

The Farm and the City and the Radio Jam is a conversation with Andrew Lochhead and Darren Reinhart from Artscape Gibraltar Point, Connor Allaby and Jhamela Stapleton from Black Creek Community Farm, Beatrice Lego from the Edible Campus, University of Toronto Scarborough, and Ramisa Tasfia (moderator), featuring Aliyah Mvita as MC. The conversation will be followed by a screening of the three farm tour videos.
