Tako-Pinehsiiwan Opening Reception

We celebrated the opening of 2018/2019 Indigenous Youth Artist-in-Residence Animikiik’otcii Maakaai's exhibition Tako-Pinehsiiwan with a public reception! Through multimedia, the artist tells her personal story of transformation, strength, and resilience found through Ceremony. The artist was attendance and delivered a talk about her work and residency experience. Elder Wendy Phillips led a smudging ceremony to begin the remarks.
