Queer Zine-Making with Heather Riley

Presented in collaboration with Scarborough Campus OUT (SC:OUT)

Join artist and zinester Heather Riley for a hands-on workshop exploring zine-making and how it intertwines with queer history and activism. This workshop is intended for an adult audience, and is open to the public. Mature themes will be discussed and included in sample materials. All materials will be provided.

Heather Riley (they/he) grew up in Oro-Medonte, Ontario and currently resides in Toronto. They are an artist and zinester whose work explores queerness, sexuality, and death. His focus is on creating visually interesting and accessible guides to deep topics such as Someone You Love is Transgender and Self-Care after Self-Harming. They can often be found vending at various zine and art fairs around the GTA as part of Potato Brains Distro.
