Liza in the Park: Performance Art Workshop

Presented in partnership between Cedar Ridge Creative Centre and DMG for student exhibition 'Inside & Out'

Performance-based workshop led by emerging artist Wing Lam Leung, exploring deception and construction of the self in the digital space

In this workshop performance by emerging artist Wing Lam Leung, participants will learn how to make cookies with Liza in her virtual park, while exploring how notions of digital self-making, deception, and sense of space on Zoom reshapes one's reality.

No materials are required for this workshop, but it’s recommended (though not mandatory) that participants have the latest update of Zoom and join using a laptop/computer, rather than phone or tablet.

Registration is limited. After registering, participants will be provided with the Zoom link. This program will not be recorded.

About the artist

Wing Lam Leung is studying Arts Management, Studio Art and Curatorial Studies at the University of Toronto. Her artistic practice questions the nuances between art and life, body and social relations. While particularly interested in performance art, Wing works across mediums as a way to explore a variety of forms of expression. Wing was awarded the UTSC FADO Time-based Award in 2019.
