Collection Scavenger Hunt

Artwork from the Doris McCarthy Gallery’s permanent collection is installed across the U of T Scarborough campus – do you know where to find them? 

From Tuesday, November 19 to Saturday, November 30, 2024, participate in the Collection Scavenger Hunt! The first 50 participants to complete the hunt will receive a swag bag, and be entered into a draw to win a set of three DMG publications of their choice! 

Here's what you need to do:

1. Follow @dmg_utsc on Instagram 
2. Take a selfie with at least four of the five hinted artworks on view in the following scavenger hunt locations: Harmony Commons, U of T Scarborough Library, The Bridge in Instructional Centre Atrium, and IITS in Academic Resource Centre. 
3. For each of the selfies, note down the artist's name and title of each artwork.

Once you’re finished, drop by the Doris McCarthy Gallery during opening hours to verify your findings, pick up your swag bag, and be entered in the publication draw.

The Doris McCarthy Gallery manages a Permanent Collection comprised of approximately 2,000 works of contemporary art. The Collection supports the DMG's vision to preserve and ensure access to works by Canadian and international artists. Campus installations ensure regular encounters with art, encourage critical conversations about art and culture and provide opportunity for engagement with contemporary art in atypical settings.
