Daybreak Day Break
Take a break at the Doris McCarthy Gallery! On the last Wednesday of each month, we invite you to engage with our current exhibition Daybreak through a guided exhibition tour and artmaking activity, alongside complimentary coffee and tea all day.
Join us from 1 - 2 pm for the guided tour, led by DMG Education & Outreach Assistant Marina Nicholson, exploring how themes of time, community, and care are addressed through the artists’ works.
Inspired by Philip Leonard Ocampo’s work Key Dawn, the artmaking activity reflects on moments of possibility and transition. Participants are invited to create their own keys, using a variety of provided media, guided by the prompt: What pathway, opportunity, or change do you want to unlock next in your life? Come by at any point during the day to participate.
This is a drop-in program, no registration necessary. The gallery is wheelchair accessible. This program offers opportunity to sit down/rest.
