Baklava-Making with Waard Ward

Presented in collaboration with the Culinaria Research Centre

A participatory demonstration led by Waard Ward's Shoruk Alsakni, in which participants will learn how to make Syrian-style baklava

Join us for a participatory baklava-making demonstration, led by Waard Ward’s Shoruk Alsakni, that expands on the themes of community-building and hospitality in the current DMG exhibition A rose gives its fragrance even to the hand that crushes it. Shoruk will walk participants through the process of making Syrian-style baklava, providing hands-on opportunities to help with the making. (And the opportunity for participants to take some baklava home at the end!)

This drop-in program is open to the public, all are welcome. There is seating available, and the kitchen is wheelchair accessible.
