Artist Talk by Whyishnave Suthagar

Presented as part of the Nuit Blanche + RUTAS Symposium: 'A Home for Our Migrations'

Join Nuit Blanche Connects X DMG Artist-in-Residence Whyishnave Suthagar in conversation with DMG Curator Sandy Saad-Smith at Scarborough Town Centre! Free, all welcome! The talk will take place on the Lower Level, Shoppers Court.

Whyishnave's work 'கோலம் (Kolam): A Parallel Coexistence', a large scale woven installation depicting the ephemerality and cyclical nature of the human experience, will be on exhibition at STC as part of this year's Nuit Blanche.

Nuit Connects X DMG is a relationship-building, mentorship and knowledge-sharing program and was inspired by the impassioned commitment to community, mentorship and reciprocity demonstrated by Scarborough participants in the inaugural Nuit Blanche in Scarborough in 2018. The annual residency is a partnership between the City of Toronto and Doris McCarthy Gallery, U of T Scarborough.

This talk is part of the Nuit Blanche + RUTAS Symposium: 'A Home for Our Migrations', presented September 27 to October 3 at locations around Toronto. The Doris McCarthy Gallery and University of Toronto Scarborough are proud to be the Premier Partner of the Nuit Talks series.
