Artist Talk by Patrick Cruz

Part of the Visiting Artist Lecture Series, co-presented by the DMG & Department of Arts, Culture & Media

Patrick Cruz is a Filipino-Canadian artist working between Toronto, Canada and Manila, Philippines. Cruz holds an MFA from the University of Guelph. his multi-disciplinary practice is informed by his interest in cultural hybridity, the project of decolonization, and the paradoxical effects of globalization. Cruz won the national title for the 17th annual RBC Canadian Painting Competition and was recently long listed for the 2019 Sobey Art Award.
