ACM Studio Visiting Speaker: Bernie Lubell

Co-produced by ACM Studio, Arts & Events Programming & DMG

San Francisco-based artist Bernie Lubell's interactive installations have evolved from his studies in both psychology and engineering. He spoke about a selection of works from his 30 year practice, including a phone booth-confessional communications network, simulations of the human heart and brain, and a cooperative knitting machine. A mix of art and science, the talk also touched upon one of Lubell's inspirations, the work of 19th century physiologist Etienne-Jules Marey.
